Official identity tags
Tag order forms have now been issued to all herd owners.
All official identity tags ordered from Mulllinahone Co-op on these forms for use in 2013 will be tissue sample-enabled. [image]
Note: the applicator used to insert the button tags used for the voluntary phase of the programme in 2012 can also be used to insert the official tags. Otherwise you will need to order a new applicator for these tags. This can be done as part of the tag order process, in which case the applicator will be delivered with your tags.

Supplementary (button) tags
Supplementary (button) tags bearing the official identity number of the animal tested are also available.
There are two main uses for these tags:
-matched tags for unused official identity tags (a specific order form for this purpose was included with the official tag order form issued to each herd owner).
- re-sampling of calves or sampling of older animals within the programme
